MAI (Montréal, arts interculturels)

On September 19, 2024, MAI (Montréal, arts interculturels) and Danse-Cité present the first edition of MTL ARTS ACCESSIBLES, a festive evening showcasing Montreal’s accessible cultural programming for the 2024-2025 season!

In a convivial 5@8 format, come and visit the booths of the various cultural venues (dance, theater, visual arts, performances, etc.) offering accessible shows and activities, while enjoying a warm atmosphere with DJ, VJ, mini-performance, entertainment, ticket draw, appetizers and drinks.

The shows and activities on the accessible calendar are aimed at the Deaf and hard-of-hearing, the blind and partially-sighted, the motor-impaired and the neurodivergent, among others.

“With MTL ARTS ACCESSIBLES, we share a desire to celebrate the new cultural season in a different way, and to fuel the current effervescence in the field of cultural accessibility. By joining forces, we hope to bring together as many people as possible, stimulate new encounters between audiences and cultural workers, and convey the clear and unequivocal message that we're moving forward. For us, Montreal's cultural and artistic scene is rich and diverse, and it's our responsibility to ensure that it's shared and accessible.” - Maud (Director of Communications and Development, Danse-Cité) and Claudia (Director of Accessibility and Innovative Practices, MAI)
