COSMOS
Designed by Ellen Furey and Sophie Corriveau, and curated with Winnie Ho, COSMOS is a new performance platform at Danse-Cité. From October 4th to 7th, 2023, audiences can discover two choreographic projects created during a three-week creative immersion at the Mainline Theatre.
Danse-Cité is looking to shake up the rhythm of a creative process. For this first edition, two artists will receive time, space, and resources to present their choreographic work without depending on successful grant applications. We have rented the Mainline Theatre for three weeks and are offering a fee for the process and performances. Each artist can allocate funds as they see fit. COSMOS aims to offer artists the means and the opportunity to create in a context centering freedom and playfulness. Following the three-week creative process, four performances will reveal the fruits of this exploratory challenge. The purchase of a ticket gives access to : Performance #1 + Meal + Performance #2

I’m not queen, I’m princess!
It's not easy going through a second puberty in your mid-twenties. In this performance combining spoken word, dance, humor and a touch of (necessary) delusion, Kim Ninkuru takes you through her journey to womanhood.
