Pluton is the product of interwoven relationships. A series of portraits emerge from these stories of disparate bodies. Confrontations, interferences and heritages combine to spawn rich collaborations. Know for its works that question and subvert the codes of representation and the relationship between viewer and space, La 2e Porte à Gauche deploys the bodies of veteran dancers pulled into the orbit of young visionary choreographers. Nicolas Cantin, with Michèle Febvre, has chosen the autobiographical route; Jean-Sébastien Lourdais, with Linda Rabin, the sensual; Catherine Gaudet, with Louise Bédard, the troublingly ambiguous; Virginie Brunelle, with Daniel Soulières and Ginette Laurin, the visceral. What separates them is time, what links them is vertiginous motion. Together, they form a creative chain. An encounter with the memory of things to come.
In the first part, discover or rediscover Nicolas Cantin’s Cheese, a solo created for Michèle Febvre, a leading figure in Quebec new dance of the 70’s and 80’s. A work in keeping with the premises of Pluton. Duration: 35 minutes.

This off-the-wall group of young choreographers has presented in situ works at Parc Lafontaine, in the display windows of Simons on St. Catherine Street, and in private apartments [...] fuelled by inspiration, improvisation and a real desire to go out and meet the public.” – Catherine Lalonde, Le Devoir, March 19, 2011
