Artist Lynda Gaudreau is pleased to partner with Danse-Cité to launch a new grant for independent arts producers, the Paul-Dumoulin Grant.

Paul was Lynda's life partner. He worked as a producer, administrator and creator of many of her projects. The grant was conceived and endowed by Lynda to honour his memory, with additional financial support from Pierre Tanguay, a long-time collaborator and friend.

The grant is intended for those who devote themselves, in whole or in part, to the independent production of art projects on their own account and who value experimentation and boldness in their own practice as producers.

It is aimed at those who, for one reason or another, may face financial challenges and helps them meet their needs. It is a living stipend and there are no conditions or reporting requirements attached to it.

The grant is open to all independent art producers residing in Quebec, regardless of your background, experience, or the nature of the artistic projects you support.

For this first edition, a grant of $3,499.97 will be awarded.

To apply

• Send us a letter of no more than 2 pages, in French or English.

• Tell us about your work as a producer and a project you currently have on your drawing board that you plan to present in the coming months. You may also attach a curriculum vitae if you wish. You do not need to provide any details about why you feel you need the grant to cover your living expenses.

• Send your application to Maud, Director of Development and Communications at Danse-Cité: communication@danse-cite.org.

• Deadline: December 2025, 5.

Selection process

• Lynda and Pierre will assemble a selection committee representing different perspectives on art production in Quebec to review your letters and choose the recipient of the grant.

• The committee will discuss your letters to the best of their knowledge, experience and understanding, considering above all the boldness and experimentation in your approach and respecting the confidentiality of your information.

• Your letters will be destroyed once the recipient has been announced.

• The recipient will be announced on March 2026, 6.
