Imagine a man standing in a basin of water, alone, in the middle of the immense Satosphere theatre, connected to cameras, speakers and sensors. We are enclosed within a hyper-sensitive musical bubble, in which projections, water and movement begin to reverberate. In turn contemplative and tumultuous, this experiencing of the butterfly effect unfolds all around us in a collective—and poetic—immersive adventure.
The carte blanche given to dancer Peter Trosztmer for the creation of AQUA KHORIA, his first Traces-Interprètes with Danse-Cité, takes us on an adventure in which the dancer’s body ingeniously opens up to an array of possibilities derived from new technologies. Zack Settel, a long-time creative partner and renowned composer and artist-in-residence at SAT, has created a captivating part of it. Immersing Peter in a 3-D environment, the project takes us into new and extraordinary territory.
